Post-Valentine’s Day Letter For You!

Post-Valentine’s Day Letter For You!

Dear reader,

(Belated) Happy Valentine’s Day to you!

I want you to know I appreciate you for visiting my site. I know there are tons of great blogs out there, but you chose to be here. Here’s a warm hug for you.

To spice up this blog, I am intentionally writing a letter through a blog post. Don’t you miss reading love letters? Oh, maybe you have received yours yesterday from that special someone – and how about those fresh tulips? Awww…that’s so sweet!

Don’t you love it when it’s personalized? You know it’s meant for you. Yeah, that exhilarating joy while you slowly open an embellished greeting card with your name engraved on it.

That’s the reason I am writing this letter.

A lot has changed. Today, we are caught up with the latest scoops, fads, and trends, that everything has become automated. And I am also guilty of these things.

A lot of content today are mechanical. Should I say automated?

The email you received was sent hundred times to different people, same template, and the sender simply changed the recipient’s name.

And the goal? Of course…to generate leads and profits.

Not just emails but also phone calls. A friend called you telling you of expanding his business and he needs people to join the bandwagon.

Sounds familiar?

I was once a network marketer. I know the tone and scripts so much.

It is the same script while pitching on the phone, one-way to the other.

Don’t you just miss the handwritten notes? Personalized love letters from your special someone?

While there’s nothing wrong in using templates and scripts to make everything prompt and organized, this season is a reminder that your readers are people. They are not robots, Google bots, and algorithms, neither keywords nor analytics.

So, for this Valentine’s season, let’s take a break from the technicalities of web content writing and write freely. Break the rules and write your hearts out.

Connect to your readers and engage. Build long-lasting relationships.

Your partner in writing,

Krisette C.

P.S: And the irony is, some of you received this letter via RSS Feed or newsletter! Oh well!

Let’s collaborate!

You don’t have to look elsewhere, you’ve found a great team player.
